Warranty Policy

Last updated: August 28, 2026

Overview

LensRefresh provides a 12-month limited warranty, beginning on the date of delivery, against manufacturing defects in eyewear purchased from LensRefresh. This coverage includes branded frames, prescription and non-prescription eyeglass and sunglass lenses, and defects in prescription lens processing or product assembly.

Warranty claims are separate from returns. If you wish to return an eligible product within 30 days after receiving it, please review our Return and Refund Policy.

12-Month LensRefresh Warranty

The warranty applies to manufacturing defects reported within 12 months after delivery to the original purchaser. Proof of purchase is required. A manufacturing defect is a fault in materials, workmanship, lens processing, or assembly that was not caused by use, accidental damage, improper care, or an unauthorized modification.

Additional Manufacturer Coverage

Some products may also include warranty coverage from the original manufacturer. Manufacturer coverage periods, exclusions, and remedies vary by brand and product. If an applicable manufacturer provides coverage beyond LensRefresh's 12-month warranty, this policy does not shorten that longer coverage.

LensRefresh can help customers identify the appropriate warranty process and, where applicable, assist with submitting a manufacturer claim. A manufacturer's decision regarding eligibility, repair, or replacement remains subject to that manufacturer's warranty terms.

Contact Lenses

Contact lenses are not covered by the LensRefresh 12-month limited warranty. Unopened, sealed boxes remain subject to our 30-day Return Policy. Opened boxes and individual lenses are not covered for comfort, fit, prescription changes, normal use, improper handling, or damage after opening.

This exclusion does not apply to products that were defective when supplied, damaged in transit, expired, or incorrectly fulfilled. Any applicable manufacturer warranty and rights under Canadian consumer-protection law remain unaffected.

Prescription Lenses and Customization

If you believe your prescription lenses or customized eyewear contain a processing or manufacturing defect, or do not match the specifications confirmed for your order, contact us within 12 months after delivery. We will review the order details and supporting information and coordinate with our independent Canadian optical laboratory where appropriate.

Prescription changes, requested upgrades, or changes to the original frame, lens material, coating, tint, or other order specifications are not warranty defects. Any available remedy depends on the nature of the issue, the applicable written warranty, and applicable law.

What Is Generally Not Covered

Unless an applicable manufacturer's warranty or applicable law provides otherwise, warranty coverage generally does not include:

  • accidental damage, impact, crushing, loss, or theft;
  • misuse, improper care, or failure to follow supplied care instructions;
  • normal wear and tear, cosmetic wear, or scratches that develop through use;
  • unauthorized repairs, modifications, or third-party lens installation;
  • changes in prescription, fit preference, or product preference; or
  • damage or changes that are not caused by a manufacturing, processing, or assembly defect.

How to Request Warranty Support

Email care@lensrefresh.co and include:

  • your order number and the email address used for the order;
  • the product name and affected component;
  • a clear description of the issue and when it was first noticed; and
  • clear photos or video of the issue where possible.

Please do not mail a product to us until we provide return instructions. Warranty items are handled by mail. Proof of purchase may be required.

Assessment and Remedies

We may need to inspect the product before confirming whether the issue is covered. For a defect covered by the 12-month LensRefresh warranty, LensRefresh will provide an appropriate repair, replacement, refund, or other remedy required by applicable law.

If a manufacturer administers the applicable warranty, we may direct or assist you through that process. Any shipping instructions and applicable costs will be explained before a product is returned.

Returns and Consumer Rights

This Warranty Policy does not replace or reduce LensRefresh's 30-day Return and Refund Policy. It also does not exclude, restrict, or modify any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable Canadian federal, provincial, or territorial consumer-protection law.
